Location: San Marcos, TX The primary responsibility of the Regulatory Compliance Engineer is to ensure that our products are designed to meet and maintain compliance to all relevant global standards and regulations. General Responsibilities Researches and identifies applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes (ex: CE, UKCA, CPA, RoHS, REACH). Organizes compliance programs by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and required resources, including test laboratories and equipment. Supervises or performs preliminary tests before sending products to the testing agency. Reviews new product designs for potential regulatory issues. Analyzes regulatory failures and proposes solutions. Specifies components used to ensure compliance. Works with the testing agency to reduce delays, misunderstandings, and overcharges. Works with the Product Manager to ensure required regulatory text is included in marketing documents and on product labels. Communicates with other corporate subsidiaries regarding regulatory issues. Provide completed regulatory documents to the Quality department. Performs other duties as specified by the Director of Quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or related field and two years of experience with regulatory requirements. Experience must include two years with regulatory requirements CE, RoHS, and REACH. Experience must include two years with pressure monitoring and control instruments. Experience must include one year with ISO 9001 and Six Sigma. Experience may be gained concurrently.
