Conduct on-site, virtual, and desktop audits of suppliers. Develop. implement, and maintain quality control processes, procedures, policies, and related documentation for new and existing suppliers. Monitor high risk supplier development issues in order to prevent crisis at our operations Lead Supplier Quarterly Business Review process with both 3rd party suppliers and subsidiary suppliers Handle deviation requests and engineering change requests from the supply base. Look for cost reduction opportunities Identify and resolve root causes of supplier-related quality, cost, and performance issues, i.e., on-time delivery, lead time, and capacity. Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure purchased materials meet quality standards. Develop and execute plans for supplier development and quality improvement. Provide technical training and support to suppliers on quality and performance improvement initiatives. Support the annual supplier performance review process and contribute to policy updates. Set focused priorities to reach objectives by developing a robust mitigation action plan to be followed and maintained Lead supplier performance reviews and maintain strategic communication with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. 5+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience in supplier quality management and quality control processes Process knowledge in a broad range of manufacturing processes, i.e., assembly, machining, stamping/metal forming, injection molding, packaging, etc. is strongly preferred Experience working with and auditing to internationally recognized quality systems such as AS9100, TS16949, ISO 9001. Strong background with Quality Tools & Methods (i.e. APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, etc,) Experience with formal problem solving and analysis techniques (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why ...),
