The Software Engineer will assist the engineering team in software development, ensuring the creation of high-quality, reliable, and efficient products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining existing software, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the company. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design team to develop high-quality, manufacturable, and profitable products. Adhere to the company's written quality objectives and support continuous improvement efforts. Actively participate in 5S initiatives to enhance workplace efficiency and organization. Align work efforts with corporate and departmental goals. Provide timely updates to the Engineering Manager on potential project delays or issues. Gain proficiency with the design tools, software, and development processes used within the organization. Plan, write, test, and document software for test programs and applications. Maintain and improve existing product software. Analyze and address software issues reported by customers or production teams. Perform additional tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a strong software development component, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in C++. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with common office software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Preferred: Embedded software design experience. Object oriented programming experience.
