Develops and articulates compelling business cases to diverse buyers in a long sales cycle of up to 2+ years in a customer environment. Develops strategic plans for penetrating and retaining existing and new OEM accounts. Cross-sells the full WIKA portfolio. Filters the pool of targets and leads, prioritizes qualified targets, and develops an execution plan for successful prospecting, hunting, and selling. Establishes new customer relationships by presenting WIKA as a technical consultant for OEM solutions. Understands major market trends to align WIKA's value propositions with customers' stated and unstated needs. Promotes and leads/facilitates Value Innovation Workshops. Provides leadership support to cross-functional teams consisting of product and application specialists, engineers, customer support, quality, and supply chain experts during major retention, penetration, and acquisition sales activities. Provides market feedback and advises on strategy and product development for key markets and customers to Market Segment Management, Product Management, and Marketing teams. Ensures full transparency of sales efforts via CRM by updating accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities in a timely and thorough manner. Maintains an up-to-date and adequate pipeline to meet goals. Participates in national, regional, and local trade shows. Submits monthly sales reports, advance itineraries, and expense reports on time. Utilizes WIKA sales process tools. Initiates and participates in continuous improvement efforts related to sales. Supports up to 80% overnight travel and travels internationally on occasion. Performs other duties as assigned.
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Technical field, including Engineering, or an A.S. in Business, a Technical field, or equivalent industry experience. Has 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, engineering, or a technical field within a B2B industrial environment. Possesses experience in mobile machines, industrial, or instrumentation-related fields, with a strong track record of success. Is required to travel up to 40% of the time. Has knowledge of sensor technology (preferred). Demonstrates computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and contact management or CRM software. Exhibits excellent communication, writing, listening, and presentation skills. Possesses sales knowledge, including direct and OEM sales. Demonstrates strong negotiation skills. Pays close attention to detail. Has a basic understanding of customer contracts.
