Production Technician - Sensor Assembly

  • The primary responsibilities of a Sensor Assembly Technician include assembling transducers with specific sensors into various packages. This requires led-free soldering (majority is through hole/wire), understanding assembly drawings, using standard tools, and having soldering experience.
  • General Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of common hand tools, soldering equipment, and how to use them appropriately.
  • Assemble required parts and assemblies to the appropriate assembly drawings or work instructions while adhering to company quality and safety guidelines.
  • Identify different sensors, sensor packages, and assemblies using D365 and/or drawings.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming parts and create a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) detailing the issues found.
  • Work at a fast pace while ensuring safety and accuracy are maintained.
  • Set up and operate production equipment using tools and computer connections while utilizing Mensor’s ERP system and production software, in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards and obstructions.
  • Report any issues that might negatively impact quality or current and future production schedules to the Production Engineer or Director of Operations.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Director of Operations.
  • Willing to be trained and to train others.

Votre profil

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have basic reading and math skills.
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and some basic electrical.
  • Ability to read basic schematic a plus.
  • Must be able to learn how to use the company’s ERP system and Microsoft Office programs to obtain bills of materials, time reporting, and access other job-related information.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to grow their skills, knowledge, and abilities.
