The primary responsibility of the Custom Systems Technician I is the fabrication and assembly of custom systems products Assemble custom systems according to build instructions. Make mechanical modifications to hardware using machines and hand tools. Fabricate panels, brackets etc. for custom systems. Cut, deburr and bend tubing to required dimensions for pneumatic or hydraulic connections. Fabrication of parts using Bridgeport style mill. Paint, apply labels, or otherwise finish custom systems. Must be able to use basic hand tools. Must be able to use a digital multimeter. Must be able to use measuring tools such as tape measure and caliper. Follows MSP 8.1-1 Custom Systems Development Process. Supports the written quality objectives as stated in the Quality Manual of the company. Supports, maintains and participates in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives. Supports the corporate and department goals. Performs other duties as requested by the Custom Systems Manager.
High School Diploma, Vocational training, or equivalent in experience. Ability to read assembly drawings and wiring diagrams and schematics. Must follow instructions of senior level technicians. Experience with hand and power tools. Must work under the general supervision of senior technicians. Must be capable of maintaining order in documentation. Must have working knowledge of common office software.
