The Building Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the facilities to ensure the building is accessible and maintained in a safe and effective manner. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Mensor building and facilities using established safety procedures. Conduct routine, non-licensed inspections of facilities including fire equipment, high pressure systems, A/C  units, machine shop equipment, vacuum pumps, large scale ovens and generator. Coordinate licensed inspections as required. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to facility and equipment including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting. Advise the Director of IT and Maintenance of required major repairs or replacements. Coordinate major maintenance and repairs as required to mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and generators. Assist in preparing maintenance schedule to track upkeep of facilities and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Maintain inventory control over equipment and supplies; assists in ordering as needed and maintains required documents. Assist in the preparation of capital and operating budgets. Maintain building control systems related to HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems. Perform other related duties as requested by Director of IT and Maintenance.

High School diploma or GED equivalent 5 years overall building Maintenance experience or equivalent in another, similar role A minimum of 3 years of experience with building maintenance HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems Preferred certifications, licenses, and/or vocational training in skilled trade areas (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) or equivalent in experience Familiar with local building codes and regulations Ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner Proficient in applying effective problem-solving skills Knowledge of inspection procedures Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures Competent in record keeping systems Effective written, verbal and listening skills Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to work independently to successfully complete assignments Deal with the public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner Demonstrate sound work ethics
