Develop cutting-edge optical measurement equipment for scientific and industrial applications Perform hands-on experimental research in optical engineering, (integrated) photonics and laser technologies Advance state-of-the-art measurement systems performance through innovative engineering solutions and system integration Analyze and optimize system design, packaging, and manufacturing to miniaturize sensors Work closely with international partners in collaborative R&D projects Present findings at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals

Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field with eligibility for PhD enrollment at German universities (3-year PhD project) Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and good in German Independent, proactive working style with high commitment and motivation Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills Willingness to travel, including extended research stays at partner institutions Interest in interdisciplinary research and international collaboration
