Set up and operate a variety of manual and precision machine tools. Fabricate, modify, and repair tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine components. Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment. Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials for machining operations. Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for each job. Perform precision machining operations and maintain tight tolerances. Inspect, measure, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards. Set machine controls and enter or modify machine control programs as required. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make repairs to support production needs. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layouts, and machining procedures. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

2 to 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Tool and die experience strongly preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and metal properties. Manufacturing experience in a Lean environment is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions. Ability to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and take corrective action when needed. Good vision, including the ability to distinguish colors and detect quality variations. Corrective lenses acceptable.
