The primary responsibility of the Production Manager is to coordinate personnel, optimize workflows, and bridge communication between technicians, Production Engineers, Planners and other Managers. Ensure departments meet production goals through on-the-floor leadership, troubleshooting, training, and continuous employee improvement while communicating needs through appropriate channels. Team Leadership and Management Provide direct supervision and leadership to technicians. Manage daily shift coverage and task delegation for technicians. Conduct regular team meetings and communicate organizational objectives. Assist with onboarding and training new technicians. Mentor and cross-train employees to foster skill growth. Performance Management Monitor employee performance and productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Address employee relations issues and administer corrective and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies. Operational Oversight Track and analyze departmental KPIs Monitor workflow and staffing levels to maximize efficiency. Act as the primary liaison between production teams, engineers, and leadership to resolve technical issues and align daily operations with organization goals. Communicate production issues or delays to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely updates to management and customers. Coordinate with Planners, Product Engineers, and Director of Operations to align production schedule and operational priorities. Hire, develop, and evaluate production technicians to maintain a skilled and effective workforce.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Associates degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years supervisory or leadership experience. Experience managing technical, maintenance, service or operations personnel. Strong performance management and employee coaching skills. Experience conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Builds effective working relationships and collaborates successfully in a team-oriented environment. Understands operational workflows from order entry through final shipment. Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge related to pressure technology. Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools. Preferred: Knowledge of D365
