Develops, maintains, and monitors productivity measures for all Parts / Shipping employees. Coaches, trains, and develops employees Interfaces with Customer Service, QA and Production to coordinate flow, productivity, quality, and efficiency. Pursues making the warehouse/distribution process better Trains and coaches all personnel. Conducts employee performance reviews. Handles shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations. Coordinates Kanban and PTO schedules to meet OTD. Coordinates with Warehouse Manager for appropriate staffing levels. Schedules and conducts shift meetings. Meets productivity goals. Ensures quality control and OTD for the manufacturing cells. Makes adjustments as necessary during shifts to produce product within specifications. Rejects product outside of specifications. Manages for Daily Improvements. (MDI) Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and special instructions (SIs) Communicates with Manufacturing Supervisors and FF Manager. Ensures a clean and safe work environment. (5S) Completes shift paper work. (SQDC) Assists in production as necessary Performs ancillary duties as needed
College degree preferred Five plus years’ experience managing employees Must be proficient in Excel and Word. Business writing skills required. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Ability to analyze problems and problem resolution skills Ability to use mathematical reasoning and problem solving techniques to solve work related problems. Ability to locate information with workplace graphs, charts, tables, forms, flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, maps and instrument gauges Excellent interpersonal / written communication skills Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred.
