Serves as subject matter expert on product compliance/certification as it relates to a wide variety of 3rd party approvals/standards.  Ability to drive certification activities through to completion, ensuring continuous progress through all types of certification activities.   Assist in providing compliance training and guidance across the company and work to resolve complex product compliance investigations. Assist any/all product-certification-related Environmental Testing  Ability to understand and conduct third party and internal compliance audits as well as work with third party representatives/auditors. Understands essential requirements of the ATEX Directives, CE and UKCA markings and their applicable directives, California Proposition 65, TSCA Section 6(h), conflict minerals and others.   Reviews emergent designs to identify potential design limitations, potential legal risks and improves testability/procedures.  Works with WIKA’s PDM system(s), including checking/verifying BOMs, drawings, etc. for completion and needed technical requirements for standards/certification purposes Plans, executes, and completes projects in timely manner, meeting deadlines/due dates consistently. Works cooperatively with other WIKA departments/disciplines for engineering drawings, database tools, problem solving, continuous improvement, etc. as related to WIKA’s products and services. Exercises extensive engineering and/or equivalent technical experience and sound judgment in solving technical problems especially related to product certification, including demonstrating the resourcefulness to proactively seek out subject matter expertise from peers when solutions are not clearly apparent. Ability to work with and influence all departments/MGT levels across the business. Assists design engineers in conducting engineering tests on existing products and prototypes.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. 3+ years’ experience with technical writing where strong organizational skills were required. Relevant experience of 5+ years’ experience with 3rd party approvals/certifications. 2-4 years of working experience in engineering environment  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Knowledge of Global Standards like UL, IEC, NEMA, ASTM, ISO etc. Knowledge of ATEX/ IECEx Certification Experience working with agencies like UL, CSA, FM, ETL, NSF, etc. Demonstrable accomplishments in the area of technical writing preferred Experience in Quality or other Technical specialty related to an ISO implementation (9001/17025) is a plus Prefer candidate to have a fundamental understanding of product development, manufacturing, simulation methods and techniques, FMEA and other engineering principles. Previous experience with test labs, test equipment design, test plan development and test implementation preferred Confident person with the ability to connect and inspire others. A proven track record of leading projects and multi-site cross-functional teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as a global work force.  Proven ability to motivate and lead people, drive change, and work with global cross functional teams. Ability to teach, present, and communicate with management to educate on product safety and their risks.  Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization. Ability to multi-task and stay organized. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of MS Dynamics (Axapta) is a plus Ability to prioritize multiple projects..
