Reads BOMs and sets up machines for production runs based on required parts, tooling, and specifications using hand tools and machine controls. Observes machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machine tools and parts, using precision measuring devices as required. Solders assemblies for quality inspection.Ensures conformance of production assemblies to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, visual control systems, equipment readouts, and other specialized testing equipment. Cleans and maintains machine, tooling, and parts to keep equipment in optimal operating condition.Exercises special care to ensure the machine is running properly. Performs job changeovers and problem troubleshooting throughout assigned shift Trains other employees on the setup and utilization of equipment as required by their respective job descriptions.This includes safety, setup, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment following documented standard work procedures as applicable. Assists in developing new training or methods of training. Provides critical feedback to Supervisor to evaluate trainee performance and customize employee training as needed. Performs rework for bad pieces due to setup issues. Makes suggestions for equipment and process improvements. Makes recommendations for equipment PM processes and schedules. Assists mechanics and machinists in repair work. Assists internal customers including RMA with problem solving related to the Bourdon Tube. Performs ancillary duties as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least 5 years’ experience working with specialized manufacturing equipment in a related field. Manual dexterity required for machine setup, adjustment, and operation. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry, and statistics, including their applications. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency.Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software for email, word processing, and presentations.   The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.The meaning and spelling of words as well as the rules of composition and grammar. Needs the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. This includes the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Availability to work overtime as required.(including weekends)
