The Custom Systems Electrical Technician I assembles, wires, tests, and documents custom pressure‑control systems built to customer specifications. This role supports electrical assembly, pneumatic/hydraulic integration, troubleshooting, and final verification of one‑off and repeat custom products Assembly & Wiring Assemble electrical and mechanical components according to build instructions. Solder, terminate, and route wiring harnesses and electrical modules. Install sensors, valves, fittings, and related components used in pressure systems. Apply labels, paint, and perform finishing steps as required. Testing & Troubleshooting Perform functional and pressure testing to verify systems meet customer requirements. Troubleshoot wiring, component, and integration issues on new builds and service returns. Follow electrical safety and ESD procedures at all times. Documentation & Process Control Create and update bills of materials for new projects. Document builds for future repeat orders, including photos, wiring notes, and deviations. Follow MSP 8.1‑1 Custom Systems Development Process and all applicable quality procedures. Use company software tools to maintain accurate records and documentation. Continuous Improvement Participate in 5S, lean, and continuous‑improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve build instructions, tooling, or workflow. Support department and company quality objectives.
High School Diploma or vocational training in electronics, mechatronics, or related field. Ability to read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with common office and documentation software
